The Daily Show - "Are you on TV? Then Shut Up!"

Ben, Michael, and I were able to get tickets to The Daily Show today very last minute. Gotta love living in NYC.

It was pretty fun, after standing in line for 2 hours.

But, we did get front row seats and that rocked!

Jon Stewart was funny - shocker. The "fluffer," Paul was funny too and he gave us free tickets to his stand-up show next Wednesday. Very cool.

OH! AND when he warmed up the crowd he would talk to certain people in the crowd and he PULLED Michael out of the crowd (the only person he made get up and get "on stage") to make fun of his jeans full of holes. He asked a very well dressed snobby man to buy Michael a new pair. The funniest thing about that was that I TOLD him he might not want to wear them to the show... Needless to say Ben and I were laughing our asses off. Michael looked almost as scared as the time I pointed him out to a drag queen in a club (followed by spotlight and embarrassing conversation). I love it!

Back to The Daily Show: The guest today, you ask? Jodie Foster. So... yeah, that was pretty cool. She was promoting her new movie, which I won't see, but it was a little surreal seeing her in person. Jon asked her if she had ever held a gun? Was he mocking her? That's not nice. Lesbians love guns.

Jon even complimented us! He called us a very smart audience. It was funny the way he used our insid jokes that occurred prior to the taping IN the show later. We liked it. We felt special. He remarked to Jodie Foster that, "this audience is smarter than I am."

Doubtful, but thanks for the compliment, Jon.

Oh... and, although short, he's hot. And I bet Tom Cruise is shorter. And not as funny. Or talented. (Sorry Katie. Err... Kate. !?)

Good times. And the other day we went to the Upright Citizens Brigade. Jealous, aren't you?
