Shhh...

Recently Steve and I watched a film called The Secret, based on the ultra-famous 2006 book of the same name.   We found it pretty interesting and would suggest you watch it to decide for yourself. If you haven't seen the movie yet there may be spoilers coming up, so stop reading now.
Why was The Secret interesting to me? (I won't speak for Steve... he has his own blog)
1. Lately, I have been complaining a lot. I try to stay positive, but shit happens, I notice, and then I am angry or sad or depressed (or all of the above). This movie reminded me to focus on the good things in life. Really focus. I am appreciative of the things and people I have in my life, but I could be more appreciative. Thankful to the Universe or God, if you will. So, everyday I take a moment to think of the wonderful things in my life. I also remind myself that my life has always had a way of working itself out and it shall again.
2. I have spent a lot of time and energy worrying about things. (This drives Steve crazy and he has such patience with me.) I worry about money, health, family, the car, work, life, etc. I lose sleep. It's horrible! The Secret explains that thinking about these things, imagining them, and/or seeing the future in a negative light and feeling the feelings that would be attached to that reality can in fact make them come true. Luckily the same is true for thinking and feeling positive about your future. Imagining yourself where you want to be can actually get you there. It sounds crazy, but I am willing to give it a shot. So, ask yourself: what do I want? --- not what do I not want. Picture yourself with what you want in your life and feel the feelings that come from that achievement.
3. I want to live a positive life, so why wouldn't I want to adopt this way of thinking regardless of its outcome! No matter what I will be a better person for it. I am very attracted to the kind-of underlying Buddhist belief system to The Secret. My goal: live my best life. Focus on the positive. Think of what I want. Be appreciative and thankful.
4. Human beings are energy. I will try my best to give off positive energy and surround myself with those who do the same. It's easy to forget that, but it's true. While I am on the subject: yoga is a great way to breathe out all of the negative energy in your life. I went to a class recently and it was really nice to be reminded that we can let it all go...
So, that's my pitch on The Secret. Take it for what it's worth. I just thought it was interesting and it opened my eyes to my recent bad behavior and just how capable we all are to change it.

LOVE this post.
Energy is science. Either we think the radio works through magic or we believe in something we cannot see. My vote is for the later.
